UK transport future strengthened by new alliance

The Anaerobic Digestion & Bioresources Association (ADBA), the UK’s trade body for AD has this week become a member of the Natural Gas Vehicle Network (NGVN) who promote natural gas vehicles as a transport solution, particularly in the HGV sector.

Mike Foster, NGVN CEO said:

“Anaerobic Digestion converts organic wastes and energy crops into valuable resources including biomethane, which can be used as a clean and low-carbon fuel for heavy vehicles such as buses and HGVs.

We are delighted to welcome ADBA into membership. We look forward to working with them in championing natural gas as a transport fuel for HGVs and the only sensible choice for fleet operators. As a leading trade association, we will do all we can to support them”.

Charlotte Morton, ADBA, Chief Executive

“ADBA is the trade association for the anaerobic digestion (AD) industry in the UK. With our over 400 members we promote the economic and environmental benefits of AD in the UK, including the use of biomethane as a low-cost, low-carbon transport fuel for heavy vehicles such as buses and HGVs.

“We’re delighted to become a member of NGVN and look forward to supporting its vital work in promoting natural gas and biomethane as low-emission transport fuels.”
